Position:              1.0 FTE Counselling Therapist – Counselling Therapy

Location:              Serving Leeds & Grenville (Brockville and Gananoque offices)

Hours of Work:    35 hours per week, flexibility is required, Monday to Friday

Job Summary:    

The Counselling Therapy team provides assessments, treatment plans, and counselling services, services for children, youth and their families in Leeds & Grenville.  Using a range of treatment modalities, the Counselling Therapist provides the Centre’s core services for children and youth with mental health difficulties. The Counselling Therapist will also provide service in the walk in clinics. Evening work will be required.


  • Masters degree in a relevant social sciences field preferred;
  • Bachelor’s degree in the Social Sciences or in a social sciences field required;
  • Currently registered, or eligible for registration, in a relevant regulatory body (CRPO, OCSWSSW);
  • Experience in child/youth, group and family counseling in areas including (but not limited to) trauma, anxiety, depression, suicide risk assessment, crisis intervention would be considered an asset
  • Candidates would benefit from experience and specialized training in various clinical interventions and modalities
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and community resources;
  • Outstanding client service and a family centered focus;
  • Demonstrated assessment skills;
  • Full use of a car and be able to transport clients and hold appropriate insurance; and
  • Knowledge working with various computer programs including Microsoft Teams.

  • Wage scale – $31.29/hour – $38.69/hour;
